Handbells

The Cypress Creek Christian Church Handbell Choirs

We have two five-octave sets of Schulmerich bells - one for rehearsal and one for performance and tours.  In addition, we have a set of four octaves of Malmark tone chimes and some additional percussion equipment for our performances.  You can hear these groups on Sundays and during our concerts.

The Chalice Bells was formed in 2016 and started as a beginner group.  These players quickly developed into the second flagship group of Cypress Creek, also performing in concerts and touring around Texas (as shown here at First Christian of Beeville.)

The Cypress Creek Disci-Bells is the long-standing premier bell choir of Cypress Creek Christian Church in Spring, TX. The bell choir has performed both locally and internationally, accompanying the Cypress Creek Community Chorale in their trip to Vienna and Salzburg, and recently performed a concert in Beeville, Texas (shown here).

Normally, we perform in the handbell balconies of the Centrum, while the conductor stands below on the first floor.  Treble Bells play from the West Handbell Balcony, while the Bass Bells play from the East Handbell Balcony.  We have a dedicated rehearsal room in the Education Building at Cypress Creek, Rm. 200, where our bell tables stay up all the time and music is easily accessible.
